It prefers growing in a bright spot and won't mind some direct morning sun.
In Melbourne climate you will have to take it inside during winter, or put it in a very protected spot where it won't get any frost bite or cold winter wind.
Other than mentioned above, it is an easy to care for plant and once established shouldn't require a lot of attention and occasional reasonable watering.
